A good place to start the new academic year is to take a look at last year's final show. Everyone achieved the FdA award with two students gaining a distinction. Matt Hardman was also awarded the Vincent Lines Award for an outstanding show. He sold his entire show within a few days and has now progressed to the BA(hons) at Grand Grand, Brighton.
Matt's show drew heavily from a short period of his childhood when he experienced a general anxiety and difficulties with dyslexia. Whilst personal, Matt hoped that his work would strike a chord with others. He experimented extensively with mixed media using the materials to convey a nostalgia and heaviness of mood.
